Onsite Psychiatric Care Available
Rochester Holistic Psychiatry is now open for in-person treatments like transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy, or TMS. In our FIRST POST on safety for in-person psychiatric treatments, we talked about mental health industry regulations for safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and how Rochester Holistic Psychiatry is following them.
Today, we want to go deeper into what our efforts to keep you safe are and more of what our new and existing patients need to know about onsite mental health services.
Staying Informed
We are keeping ourselves informed on the latest national news and industry regulations from top national and international authorities, and we promise to pass on any changes immediately to our patients. Check our website for updates and follow the guidelines that will be given to you for your visits.
If you want to know more about the information we use and regulations we follow, check the websites of the Clinical TMS Society, the American Psychiatric Association’s COVID-19 resource center, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Disinfecting Our Facilities
We take cleanliness in our facilities very seriously. Here are some ways we make sure that our patients are safe to receive onsite psychiatric care:
- We disinfect all equipment, including TMS devices, after each use.
- We disinfect all office equipment, like keyboards.
- We disinfect office surfaces and touch points, such as door handles.
- We have adjusted our waiting room and scheduling to accommodate social distancing.
Personal Protective Equipment
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential for the health of our staff and our patients. We conduct all of our onsite psychiatric services masked and gloved, disposing of both after each patient. We require our patients to wear face masks as well. Please do not reuse disposable masks and be sure to sanitize reusable masks.
Distancing Methods
We use tested and effective methods to ensure physical distancing and reduce the spread of germs.
- We encourage telepsychiatry appointments whenever possible.
- Visitors may be restricted or prohibited.
- We have adjusted our waiting spaces and procedures to create space.
- Removing items that frequently carry germs, like coffee machines and magazines.
Rochester Holistic Psychiatry is happy to be able to reopen for psychiatric treatments that require physical presence. We are only satisfied with offering the highest level of safety for our patients, so please examine any directions given to you concerning safety procedures.
